You are not the only one who feels like life is becoming increasingly difficult. People around you also feel overwhelmed with their own responsibilities and tasks.

But it is how we deal with the conundrum that counts the most.

In today's world, we are bombarded with distractions. Social media has made it easy to compare our lives to others and get discouraged. We spend so much time focusing on the negative aspects of life that we lose sight of what really matters in the end: quality of life. One way to combat this is by giving up certain habits.

Habits, those things that we do on a daily basis without even thinking about it. It is the little things that help us live a productive life and achieve our goals. These habits can be anything from drinking enough water to exercising every day. While there are also habits that become so ingrained in our lives that we don't realize they are holding us back from living a productive life

It is, therefore, very important to identify what habits need to be given up in order to live a productive life

This article will show 7 habits that need to be changed to help you relieve stress and live a more productive life.

  1. Personal grudges - Personal grudges are a common part of life. When someone says something offensive, it can feel like the worst thing that has ever happened to you. The person who said the hurtful words probably didn’t mean to do so and chances are they don’t even know how much pain they caused. Don't take things personally too much; we all make mistakes.

  2. Worries - Do you find yourself constantly worrying about everything? Worries are a part of life. Actually, they are an inevitable. No matter how much you try to avoid them, they will always be there and eventually catch up with you. What many people don't realize is that worrying too much or constantly about the future isn't going to make things easier for yourself. In fact, it will only cloud your mind further and cause you more stress than necessary. Constant worry can lead to anxiety and stress, which in turn affects your health, relationships, and work life. The only way to stop these worries is by taking control of them with positive thinking. There are many ways to do this such as journaling or even listening to relaxing music while focusing on the positives in your life. When faced with a situation that makes you feel worried, take a deep breath and remind yourself that everything is fine. You should try and take control of your thoughts and do something productive like meditating or spending time outside.

  3. Negative Emotions - Do you want to be happy? Do you want to see your friends and family smile again? Of course, we all do. But it's not as easy as just saying "stop being sad" or "cheer up." Everyone has their bad days. A new job, a family member passing away, or just a string of bad luck can lead to moments where you're not feeling your best. And while it's natural to feel down sometimes, too much negativity can be toxic for both your physical and mental health. Negative emotions such as anger, anxiety and sadness have been shown to contribute to chronic illness and cause hormonal imbalances that could leave you more susceptible to conditions like heart disease and depression. Thus, it's really important to give up Negative emotion to have a productive and happy life.

  4. Overthinking - "Overthinking is a bad habit. It's an addiction, really." You might not know it, but overthinking is hurting you more than you realize. The next time you find yourself getting lost in your thoughts, ask yourself this: "What am I going to do about it?" If the answer isn't something productive or practical, then don't waste any more of your precious time on overthinking. It's always better to be aware of the possible outcomes. But overthinking is something that will make you worry more, it reduces your ability to think sharply, smartly and mature fully. When people are feeling stressed out or anxious about an event in their life they tend to do one thing: They start thinking too much about what could happen and the worst case scenario. It's good to be able to prepare for any eventuality, but we can't let ourselves go crazy with all these thoughts.

  5. Complaints - "Complaining is a privilege of the privileged." -Robert Brault. It is often said that there is no point in complaining about everything. This sentiment comes from the idea that complaints will not change anything and, at best, will only create more negativity. The first step to resolving a problem is admitting you have one. If you are constantly trying to find fault with your situation or environment, then chances are, you need to work harder instead of just sitting around whining about it all day long. Secondly, if someone has offended you don't just complain behind, talk to them directly about what they did wrong so they know how their actions have impacted you. They may not have realized the effect of their words or actions before. Don't spend your whole day ranting on social media or gossiping with friends when there are more productive ways.

  6. Pleasing others - Everyone wants to be liked by others. But the reality is that people are fickle and they will change their opinion of you in a blink of an eye, so it's best not to waste your time on pleasing them for favors. Permanent pleasure can only be there when you love yourself. Take care of yourself, and maintain good health because that's only going to make you productive and help you achieve your goal.

  7. Unhealthy Diet - A Unhealthy Diet Could Be Making You Feel Tired You wake up in the morning and feel a little bit sluggish. Maybe you didn’t sleep well, or maybe it’s because of your diet. If you eat unhealthy food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day long without giving your body any good nutrients to keep it going, then you will inevitably feel exhausted after a while and naturally it will affect your productivity
